He is a graduate of Ball State
University and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and
Illustrators, the Florida Writer’s Association and the Professional Writers
of St. Augustine.
Jan is the illustrator half of their
team. She is also a graduate of Ball State University and a retired
elementary school teacher. She has been active in the arts for many years,
but in recent years she has turned her efforts to bringing Hank’s stories to
life.
Hank is a transplanted West Virginian
and Jan is originally from Indiana. They have lived in Orange Park for over
thirty
years.
Currently they do elementary school
visitations all over the country promoting their idea – "Everyone has a
story to tell." Their special Chihuahua, Morgan, who is
no longer with them, loved to listen to them read aloud. Morgan always
loved her pal, Oscar.
